1930SummerA family, consisting of a female and about ten small young, was seen by the writer, June 26th, on Elk Lake in Itasca State Park.
1932SummerMorse reports a fenale with a brood of 10 young, approximately 10 days old, at Itasca Park on July 4th.
1934Summer Our only report for this beautiful :luck c.:unc from Itasca Park, where Ralph Eisele found a female with 6 hnlf-grown young on July 21st.
1936Summer Kenneth Carlunder subnittod two dates for this species. On tho twenty-fourth of June he saw nine nearly full gro·wn young with a felilale at Hackensack; four da.ys later.. he sighted. o.nother set of eieht small yo~g in the sruQe region~ · Arnold Erickson saw fourteen young yet Unable to fly at the St. Croix Nat' • Park.
1938SummerThe first Wood Duck nest was noted by Bob Upson on April 20 at Hastings. It held 6 eggs. The last report comes from Gustav Swanson who saw several broods at Lake Itasca on August 6.
1940SummerThis duck was found incubating on May I9, at the Bass Pond, Hennepin Co., by the members of the MOU who attended the annual meetings in Minneapolis this spring.
